Department of Planning, located in Hamilton, falls under the Ministry of Home Affairs and is responsible for preparing and managing development plans on the island.

We are committed to serving Bermuda to ensure sustainable management of the natural and built environment. We offer advice to ensure all the applications are completed for processing and assist in the facilitation and maintenance of applications. The Planning Department also ensures that the building operations are carried out in compliance with the regulations for the safety and welfare of the public. We manage the operation of planning for environmental economic and social needs of the island and provide information and administrative support and deal with the general public.
